Government does not drop idea of new power unit construction

The Armenian government did not drop the idea of constructing a new power unit of the nuclear power plant, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan declared in the parliament today.

He said that an organization to carry out a feasibility study on the new power unit’s construction has been chosen.

According to the prime minister, the construction schedule is still under discussion. “When the date of completion of the current nuclear power plant’s operation is decided, then we will take a decision on the schedule of the new unit’s construction,” Tigran Sargsyan noted.
