“Hovannisian had no moral right to violate principle of closed meeting”

 In a recent interview with RFE/RL, Raffi Hovannisian quoted some parts of a conversation between him and Gagik Tsarukian. I officially say that these quotations are incomplete and inaccurate. The essence of the conversation was distorted, the spokesman for Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), deputy Tigran Urikhanian said in a statement.

“As regards political and ethical norms, Raffi Hovannisian had no moral right to violate the principle of a closed meeting and present incomplete information out of the context.

Nevertheless, we assess this as an emotional inaccuracy on the spur of the moment. Otherwise we don’t rule out releasing the recording of the whole conversation, as a result of which Raffi Hovannisian will have to answer many questions of his supporters.
I should also note that BHK members V. Oskanian, V. Hovhannisian and N. Zohrabian and Heritage Party members H. Khurshudian and R. Hakobian were present at their meeting,” the statement reads.

It should be mentioned following a public discussion at Ani Plaza Hotel yesterday, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian told RFE/RL that during a closed meeting with him, Gagik Tsarukian said he will never oppose the authorities.
