Hearing on gas price held without activists

As was reported earlier, a closed door sitting concerning the gas price increase was held in the National Assembly this evening.
Activists were allowed to watch the sitting from the media room. Then they came out of the parliament building. Human rights activist Mary Khachatrian told reporters that Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisian made a speech while they were in the parliament.

“The energy minister announced some data the public has not yet been informed about. The agenda of closed door hearing was not clear,” she noted.

According to her, chairman of the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition, the prime minister, deputies and ministers were participating in the sitting.

It should be mentioned that the activists left the parliament building because someone called them, saying that activists outside the parliament demand that they go out, but none of the activists admitted to calling their friends in the National Assembly.

In the words of activities, they had no opportunity to take part in the hearing in the National Assembly. Instead they could only watch the hearing from the room of journalists.
