4-year-old Angelina in need of urgent operation

4-year-old Angelina is in need of urgent operation in Germany. Angelina’s mother, Gohar, told the correspondent of Aysor.am that the child’s condition is deteriorating day by day, but they have failed to raise the sum necessary for her treatment.

“Angelina sustained an injury during birth, resulting in a cystic glioma of the brain. The cyst has grown over four years. Angelina has a squint and she may lose her eyesight completely. She also has left upper extremity weakness. In the past month she is treated at home, and we take her to hospital and call in a doctor when her condition deteriorates,” Gohar said.

In her words, the information about the child’s condition was sent to various medical institutions in Germany, only two of which responded, saying that they can operate on Angelina, but the cost of the surgical operation is over $20,000.

“We applied to everyone. A bank account was opened in February, but only 1 million AMD has been collected so far,” Gohar said.
