Edward Nalbandian meets with Jean-Claude Mignon

Armenian Foreign Minister, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Edward Nalbandian met today with President of the PACE Jean-Claude Mignon in Yerevan, according to the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The interlocutors discussed in detail issues relating to the priorities of Armenia’s Chairmanship of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers. They spoke about the meetings of PACE Standing Committee and Bureau held in Yerevan yesterday, noting the meetings were effective and involved substantive discussions.

Edward Nalbandian and Jean-Claude Mignon exchanged views on human rights protection, promotion of the rule of law and freedom of speech, and strengthening democracy in Council of Europe member states.

The sides also discussed the existing problems in the South Caucasus and efforts on their solution.
