Government has not yet received Surik Khachatrian’s application

Governor of Synuk province Surik Khachatrian issued earlier today a statement, which particularly said that S. Khachatrian decided to resign as governor and that the superior body gave its consent.

“From now on I am not the governor of Syunik province,” the statement on the website of Syunik regional administration reads.

Yet Pastinfo news agency was informed by Harutyun Berberian, spokesman for the Armenian prime minister, that they have not received any application for termination of S. Khachatrian’s duties as Syunik governor.
