Piece of rock falls on excavator, driver dies

A 30-ton piece of rock fell on an excavator during the construction work at a hydropower plant in Tavush province. The driver A. Khachatrian, 27, died on the spot, according to the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The accident happened on June 3. Because of rough terrain, rescuers could retrieve the driver’s body only on June 4.
