Minimum wage to increase from 35,000 to 45,000 AMD

The Armenian government took a decision today to submit a legislative initiative to the parliament so as to raise the minimum wage from 35,000 to 45,000 AMD.

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artyom Asatrian said that additional 6 billion AMD is needed to increase the minimum wage.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said the legislative initiative should be submitted to the parliament as soon as possible so as to deal with the issue by July 1.
