Dilijan International School may become a United World College

The Dilijan International School will open in September 2013. Construction work has entered a final stage, the DIS project founder Ruben Vardanian told reporters today.

In his words, $20 million has already been invested in the project, while the total cost of the project is $150 million. “The Dilijan International School is of importance not only to Armenia, but also to the region. Children from various countries will study here and they will later have an opportunity to enter the world’s best universities,” Ruben Vardanian stated.

The teaching staff will include both local and foreign teachers. The instruction language is English. The annual education fee will be $30,000, but the best pupils will receive scholarships. DIS will have 60 teachers and 650 pupils.

The Dilijan International School is in the process of applying to become a United World College (UWC).
