Who will indemnify car owners for damage done by roof of VIP Hall?

Ministry of Emergency Situations received a phone call at 4:48 pm today that a strong wind blew off the roof of VIP Hall in Zvartnots Airport. The roof fell on cars parked near the building.

The ministry reported that a rescue crew and the rapid response group of MES Crisis Management Center were sent to the scene. According to preliminary information, there have been no victims.

By an order of the prosecutor of Yerevan’s Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, the police unit of the airport is now preparing materials to assess damage done to property of citizens.

Aysor.am was informed by Armen Ter-Tachatian, the lawyer of Zvartnost Airport owner Eduardo Eurnekian, that the airport is insured.

“The insurance company now assesses the damage and examines the airport’s insurance policies,” the lawyer said.
