S.Ohanian: Goris incident is result of violation of interpersonal relations

During a briefing in Noyemberian military unit today, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian told reporters about details of his visit to the Central Military Hospital.

“I visited Artak Budaghian only yesterday because I was absent from the republic. The colonel is in moderately grave conditions. Our conversation was brief, I didn’t want to bother him,” Ohanian noted.

In his words, he condemns such incidents of interpersonal character, especially those with a lethal outcome.

The minister said that there are much more serious challenges from outside and consolidation is needed in the country to withstand those challenges.

“I think the incident happened as a result of a violation of interpersonal relations, while the dispute broke out on the spur of the moment. The incident is unlikely to damage the prestige of the military. Armenian officers today perform praiseworthy tasks. I assure you that the atmosphere of impunity is gradually being reduced to a minimum in recent years,” the defense minister said.
