‘Discrepancy of words and deeds is common occurrence for authorities’
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan made forecasts about regional developments at the last sitting of Armenia’s National Security Council, saying the picture will change within a few years and we should be ready for that, the deputy of HAK faction Stepan Demirchian said in the Armenian parliament today.
In his words, the best form of forecasting the future would be the creation of such a future, but it is difficult to arouse trust of jobless people living in poverty.
‘The lack of confidence in the future of the country makes people leave their homeland. In order to restore that confidence, the authorities should be honest with people, but a discrepancy between words and deeds has become a common occurrence for the current authorities,” Demirchian noted.
According to him, the authorities speak about ambitious economic programs, but an efficient economy is impossible because of the current criminal-oligarchic system so “the priority task is to dismantle the vicious system and establish the rule of law in the country”.
