Suren Khachatrian: The man makes the position

Meeting the correspondent of Henaran.am on a Yerevan street today, the ex-governor of Syunik province Suren Khachatrian promised to answer one of his questions. The correspondent asked if the reports about S. Khachatrian’s reappointment as Syunik governor in the future correspond to reality.

“I don’t think about it now. I only think how to do everything possible in order to prove that my son Tigran is innocent. It was an armed attack and he defended himself. A position is not a problem for me. The position doesn’t make the man, the man makes the position. Even if I have no job, I will remain a soldier of my homeland and continue to do everything for Syunik,” Khachatrian said.

He noted that he read today that his son Tigran killed a man in 1995. “He was one years old at that time,” Suren Khachatrian said.
