OEK member: Those guilty of property embezzlement must be punished

Representatives of Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) believe that all those guilty of misuse of state budget funds must be punished.

“People who committed crimes must incur punishment, regardless of their positions and party affiliation,” the deputy of OEK parliamentary faction Hovhannes Margarian said when discussing the violations the Control Chamber of Armenia has revealed.

In his words, if the member of their party, the urban development minister, is guilty, he must be held accountable.

The head of OEK faction Ms. Heghine Bisharian said for her part that she is in favor of healthy criticism. “We have never been afraid of criticism,” she stated.
