Fire destroys newsstand on Orbeli Street

Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations received a phone call at 3:09 am on June 14 that smoke was rising from the newsstand near apartment house # 8 on Orbeli Street in Yerevan, according to the press service of MES.

A fire engine and a rapid response group of the Ministry’s Crisis Management Center were sent to the scene.

The fire was isolated at 3:54 am and extinguished at 4:18 am.

The fire has partly destroyed the newsstand owned by ArmPress LLC and property, including a table, a chair, cigarettes, and magazines.
