Armen Gevorgian: Government sent some cases to law enforcers

At the special sitting of the Armenian parliament today, the vice speaker Edward Sharmazanov asked Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgian if there are statistical data showing whether the number of abuses related to the use of state budget resources has increased or declined.

According to Armen Gevorgian, he has no such data, but on the instructions of the prime minister, both law enforcement agencies and government members will henceforth collect and present the respective information. He also said that the risks in the spheres where violations were found in 2011 have declined.

The deputy prime minister announced that the government on its own initiative has sent a number of cases to law enforcement agencies.

“There have already been such cases. And some people were arrested. The cases are now being investigated,” Armen Gevorgian noted.

Let us remind you that the Control Chamber of Armenia earlier revealed a number of violations related to the use of the 2012 state budget resources.
