Baghdasarian and Patrushev discuss creation of state reserve agency
A meeting of Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian and Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev was held in the Government Reception House in Yerevan today. The sides discussed work on the creation of regional infrastructure of joint Armenian-Russian reserves, according to the press service of the RA National Security Council. The joint Armenian-Russian agency of state reserves will have a regional significance for the Collective Security Treaty Organization and also play an important role in the development of the system of state reserves of Armenia.
The creation of an Armenian-Russian agency of state reserves is conditioned by the increased level of military-industrial cooperation of Armenia and Russia, which is stipulated in the agreement on the expansion of military technical cooperation signed between the two countries.
Discussions on the establishment of infrastructure also took place between the Head of the State Reserve Agency of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Sergei Shahinian and the Head of Russia’s Agency for State Reserves Pyotr Yefanov, who is a member of the Russian delegation on a visit to Armenia.
Following the discussion, Pyotr Yefanov and Sergei Shahinian visited the Crisis Management Center of MES and familiarized themselves with the center’s work.
