CEC preliminary data: Karo Karapetian elected Surenavan village head

According to preliminary data of the Central Election Commission of Armenia, member of Republican Party of Armenia Karo Karapetian has been elected the head of Surenavan community in Ararat province.

723 voters voted for K. Karapetian in the elections last Sunday. 623 voters voted for another candidate, member of Prosperous Armenia Party Vazgen Ghazarian.

1,950 voters were registered in Surenavan. 1,374 voters voted in the elections. 26 voting papers were recognized null and void.
We would remind you that the former head of Surenavan village Vardges Ghazarian died in a car accident on Yerevan-Yeraskhavan Highway on March 19. The defeated candidate Vazgen Ghazarian is the brother of the late head of the village community.
