21 people die in road accidents in Yerevan in five months of 2013

396 road accidents were recorded in Yerevan in the first five months of 2013. The number of road accidents grew by 54 compared with the same period of 2012, representative of Armenia’s Traffic Police Armen Khachatrian said at a meeting with journalists toady.

According to him, road accidents left 21 people dead and 511 injured (24 were killed and 455 injured last year).

‘Although the number of road accidents has increased, most accidents are not serious compared with those in 2012, thanks to surveillance cameras and speed measuring devices installed in the city,” Khachatrian said.
