David Harutyunian sends letter to PACE President
The head of the Armenian delegation in the PACE David Harutyunian sent a letter to the PACE President Jean-Claude Mignon. In the letter concerning the upcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations within the framework of the summer session of the PACE, D. Harutyunian notes that the problems of mutual interest cannot cover the whole range discussed by the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
A meeting between the delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the PACE will take place tomorrow, on June 26. In his letter to the PACE President, David Harutyunian presented a number of priority issues which should be discussed, in the opinion of the Armenian delegation. Among such issues are constant monitoring of the sides’ statements with any manifestations of xenophobia, intolerance and racism; the development and implementation of joint measures to prevent such statements; promotion of contacts of civil societies, etc.
