Baghdasarian: CSTO Academy to open in Armenia

The future of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the efficiency of further cooperation depend on successful reorganization of the CSTO’s military component as well as structural changes, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian said at the forum “Political and Military Guidelines for the Formation of the Military Component of the CSTO” in Yerevan today.

Baghdasarian underlined the need to increase the potential of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force.

“Armenia is interested in the successful establishment of CSTO and increasing its role in various spheres. We implement a policy of development and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the CSTO. An Academy of CSTO will open in Armenia. It will play an important role in training and retraining of CSTO experts for the organization’s member states,” the secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council said.
