Russian arms sale to Azerbaijan is political bargain
“If Russia supplies arms to Azerbaijan, it should also constantly provide advice and services for its maintenance. Azerbaijan will also have some obligations,” deputy of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction Artak Davtian told reporters today.
“It is of no importance whether those arms were bought from our strategic ally or some other country. Why kick up a fuss? It was a commercial deal,” he noted.
Deputy Chairwoman of Free Democrats Party Anush Sedrakian declared for her part that she condemns the sale of arms to Azerbaijan by Russia.
“It was a political bargain, and not a commercial deal. If they sold oil, or gas, or sheep, it would be a commercial deal. But in this case a political bargain was made. All this contravenes agreements and good intentions of Russia and Armenia,” Anush Sedrakian stated.
