Sociologist and psychologist disagree with Bloomberg’s data

”If Bloomberg’s data is to be trusted, the majority of Armenia’s population drinks, smokes, uses drugs and plays gambling games. The information is incorrect,” Director of Sociometer Center Aharon Adibekian said at a meeting with journalists today.

“If the data were true, the crime rate would be high, whereas Armenia is one of the safest countries of the world. We should find out whose order it was and why the data of our country differs so much from data of our neighbors,” the psychologist Srbuhi Gevorgian said for her part.

“According to Bloomberg, there are 240-250 thousand drug addicts in Georgia, 160 thousand drug addicts in Armenia, and only 20 thousand in Azerbaijan – a country, through which drug traffic goes. Only 4,400 drug addicts are registered in the drug abuse clinic of Armenia. Let us suppose that the number of those not registered is four times as high. Then the total number of addicts will be 16 thousand, but how did they estimate their number at 160 thousand?” Adibekian said.
