Tevan Poghosian: Control Chamber chairman should be oppositionist

The chairman of the Control Chamber should be an oppositionist, familiar with economic problems and be able to move forward revealing all problems, the deputy of Heritage faction Tevan Poghosian told reporters today.

In his words, their faction did not discuss the nomination of their candidate for chairman of the Control Chamber. The tenure of the current chairman Ishkhan Zakarian ends in November 2013.

As regard the June 29 consultation in the presidential residence, Tevan Poghosian expressed gratification in this connection and said: “First of all, we should understand whether the problems raised correspond to reality or not. It is obvious that such discussions will result in a new quality”.

“Let’s wait for the answer of the prosecutor’s office and then give assessments,” Tevan Poghosian said in conclusion.
