Ex-governor’s bodyguard discharged from hospital
Nikolai Abrahamian – the Syunik regional ex-governor Suren Khachatrian’s bodyguard who was wounded in the June 1 shootout near Khachatrian’s house in the city of Goris – has been discharged from Erebuni Medical Center in Yerevan today.
Spokeswoman of the Health Ministry Shushan Hunanian told this to the correspondent of Pastinfo news agency.
Nikolai Abrahamian received a gunshot wound to his abdomen during the shootout. He was taken to the Goris medical center where he underwent surgery. The bodyguard was later transported to the Erebuni Medical Center in Yerevan.
Nikolai Abrahamian was questioned as a witness in the criminal case. When asked by Pastinfo, representatives of the investigative service declined to say whether N. Abrahamian’s status has changed. In their words, the preliminary investigation is still underway.
