NKR and NSW discuss development of relations
President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian received an official delegation of New South Wales, a state of Australia. A wide range of issues related to the development of ties between Artsakh and NSW were discussed at the meeting, the press service of the NKR president reported.
Bako Sahakian expressed his gratitude to the people and authorities of New South Wales for their assistance to Artsakh and for actual recognition of the republic’s independence, adding that it is an important mortal and political step in terms of the international recognition of Artsakh and the establishment of bilateral relations.
Both sides stressed the existence of all the necessary conditions for cooperation and their readiness to work in that direction.
Among the meeting participants were Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of NKR Arthur Tovmasian, NKR’s Permanent Representative in Australia Varuzhan Iskandarian, members of Hay Dat commission in Australia, and various officials.
