Parliament speaker condemns Harutyunian’s degrading treatment

Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Hovik Abrahamian condemned the degrading treatment of Hrachia Harutyunian charged over the car crash in Podolsk, Russia.

“The parliamentary speaker Hovik Abrahamian, once again offering his condolences to the families of those killed, expresses regret and condemns the inadmissible and inhuman treatment of Armenian citizen Hrachia Harutyunian charged over the car crash,” the press service of the Armenian parliament said.

H. Abrahamian expressed hope that Russian law enforcement agencies and respective structures will conduct an investigation, call to account the persons who committed a violation of human dignity, and reveal the real circumstances of the road accident.
