Shots were heard from Azerbaijan’s territory near Baghanis village in Tavush province of Armenia on the evening of July 16 and on July 17. The village administrator Narek Sahakian told Aysor.am that shots were heard at the border, but no shots were fired in the direction of their village.

In his words, due to such a situation, a section of Yerevan-Tbilisi Highway was temporarily closed and traffic was moving by an alternative road.

The village administrator said that this morning traffic on the highway has resumed. “No one has suffered. We are used to such shootings,” Sahakian said.
