Ghukasian: Necessity of revolution ripens in Armenia

“The increase in prices in Armenia is conditioned by the reduction in consumption volumes. People leave the country, the number of tax payers has declined and those who remain have to make up the losses of the oligarchs,” political scientist Andrias Ghukasian told reporters today.

“People tolerate vicious regimes until a revolution becomes the only means to ensure security. A necessity of revolution has ripened in Armenia,” Ghukasian said.

In his words, civil society must mobilize its forces. “Unification should take place, which will become a basis for a civil movement that will assume responsibility for carrying out a revolution,” Ghukasian said.
