Movses Manukian: Hotel prices in Armenia 50% lower than in Georgia
Two hotels have been put into operation in the Armenian resort city of Tsakhkadzor annually in the past five years, Director of the House of Writers in Tsakhkadzor Movses Manukian told the correspondent of Aysor.am.
In his words, a comparison of tourism and service prices in Armenia and Georgia is inappropriate because the prices of Georgian hotels offering the same services as Tsakhkadzor hotels are higher by 30%.
Manukian added that the prices of Tsakhkadzor hotel complexes include a 20% VAT as well. “So our hotels are cheaper by 50% than similar ones in Georgia,” he noted.
Movses Manukian expressed a positive opinion about the fact that Armenia’s residents have the opportunity to spend their holidays on Black Sea beaches at affordable prices.
