Protest against transport fare increase held in Yerevan

A protest against the increase of the public transport fare is being staged outside Yerevan Municipality.

Protesters threw coins at the Yerevan mayor’s advisor on transport issues Albert Gevorgian when he was answering questions of reporters. Gevorgian then refused to answer any questions. “And we serve these people? And this is your attitude?” he said.

We would remind you that starting from July 20, the public transport fare will rise by 50% - to 150 drams.
