Armenian ambassador and Russian deputy foreign minister discuss crash
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin met on July 19. Topical issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction of the foreign ministries were discussed at the meeting, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting the sides also touched upon the July 13 car near Podolsk which left 18 people dead and over 30 injured. An Armenian truck driver is charged in the accident.
Ambassador Yesayan expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the crash and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He expressed hope that an impartial investigation in compliance with the letter and spirit of the law will be conducted.
For his part, Grigory Karasin assured the ambassador that a comprehensive impartial investigation is being conducted. The sides stressed the inadmissibility of attempts to profit from the tragedy and the investigated case.
