Last activist released. Protest held outside Ministry of Transport

Armenian police released Gevorg Safarian, the last one of the three activists who were detained this morning. They were participating in a protest against the increase in public transport fares. The press service of the police confirmed that information during a talk with the correspondent of Aysor.am.

Following Safarian’s release, the protesters, who had gathered outside the Kentron (Central) police station, walked to the Ministry of Transport and Communication where they continued their protest against the transport fare increase.

Protesters standing outside the Transport Ministry chanted “We Won’t Pay 150 Drams!” and “Shame!” They said they will persistently seek satisfaction of their demands.
