Mayor to Hello Yerevan bloc: Fare will be discounted for some groups

Hello Yerevan faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders met today with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian. At the meeting, the mayor informed the members Hello Yerevan about what he is going to tell Yerevan residents regarding the transport fare increase, the press service of Hello Yerevan said.

According to the mayor, although the fare has increased, discounts will be given to some social groups.

The meeting participants objected saying that 80% of Yerevan’s population is in such groups. The faction proposed that the mayor discuss the transport fare increase jointly with Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) faction.

Hello Yerevan members reaffirmed its position that the fare should be reduced to the previous level and presented their opinions about solution of the transport problems.
