Justice minister: Yerevan residents’ refusal to pay 150 AMD not illegal

The refusal of Yerevan residents to pay the increased bus fare of 150 drams is not illegal, Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasian told journalists today.

He said the wages will be raised, without specifying when it will happen. The minister assured those present that today Yerevan Municipality will find a solution to the issue.

“If the transport fares have increased so that some people could grow rich, then all the government members are against this. Perhaps the interests of socially vulnerable groups were not taken into account,” Tovmasian noted.
