Suicide attempt prevented in Yerevan

At 3:05 am on July 30 the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a phone call that a citizen was going to commit suicide by jumping from Kievian Bridge in Yerevan, according to the press service of the MES.

A rescue team of the ministry was sent to the scene. Prior to firefighter-rescuers’ arrival, policemen managed to prevent Yerevan resident G.A., 34, from committing suicide. G.A. was taken to Mashtots police station in Yerevan. An ambulance crew and police were also at the scene.
