2,300 children to go to first grade in Nagorno Karabakh this year

This year 2,300 children will become first graders at 219 schools of the Republic of Artsakh. The number of first graders has increased in Kashatagh region as well. For the first time, the number of first graders in Stepanakert is the same as in 1988. About 700 kids will be included in preparatory groups: in some groups children will be kept for 6 hours, in others – for 9 hours as in kindergartens. Cosmetic repairs have been carried out at all schools with state budget funds, the Ministry of Education and Science said. 50 million drams was allocated for that purpose. New buildings of Martuni senior school and Stepanakert school # 6 will open their doors in mid September.
