Armen Ashotian: Interests of citizens form basis of Armenia’s decisions

Armenia is guided by its own interests and the statements made by President Serzh Sargsyan stem from those interests, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Armen Ashotian (who is on a visit to Brussels) has told Aysor.am.

Armen Ashotian and Chairman of the RA National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Artak Zakarian yesterday traveled to Brussels to attend the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party (EPP).

According to Ashotian, Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union will not become an obstacle to cooperation with partners in various formats.

“I would like to say that the interests of Armenia and its citizens form the basis of the current developments and Armenia’s decisions,” Armen Ashotian said.
