A. Zakarian: Europe shows understanding of decisions made by Armenia

“The division of the world into two camps is unacceptable to Armenia. I think our partners realize the logic of the Armenian side’s statements: closed borders, the Karabakh conflict, and the problem of security,” Chairman of the RA National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Artak Zakarian (who is on a visit to Brussels) told Aysor.am when asked if Armenia’s approaches to integration processes are perceived in Europe.

We would remind you that Artak Zakarian and Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotian went to Brussels yesterday in order to attend the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party (EPP).

“Armenia has always been open and predictable for its partners and it will continue this policy,” Zakarian said.

He stressed that Europe understands that the decisions taken by Armenia stem from its strategic priorities and Europe shows understanding of and respect for those priorities.
