Kiro Manoyan: Essence of agreements with EU not clear to us
The problem lies not so much in the decision to join the Customs Union as in the form of that decision’s adoption, Kiro Manoyan, Head of the Office of Hay Dat and Political Affairs of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party, told journalists today.
In his opinion, the decision does not mean that Armenia will reject the European vector and return to the Soviet Union.
‘It does not mean that tomorrow morning we will become a member of the Customs Union. The mistake lay in the form of the decision’s adoption. First, no preparatory work was done with the Armenian public, besides, the decision was unexpected to everyone because it was taken in Moscow,” Manoyan noted.
Speaking about the agreements with the European Union, Kiro Manoyan called them unclear. “The point is that those agreements have never been published and we don’t know what obligations (in particular, concerning the Karabakh conflict) Armenia shall assume under the agreements,” ARFD representative said.
