Engineer Troops Day marked in Armenia today

Day of Engineer Troops is marked in Armenia today, on September 7. The formation of a unit of engineers of the Armed Forces of Armenia finished on September 7, 1992.

Day of Engineer Troops has been marked in our country since 2000. In 2012 Armenian engineer troops celebrated their 20th anniversary.

The engineer troops are composed of sapper, pontoon and other units. One of their priority tasks is to disarm mines in areas of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.
