YBC to purchase record amount of grapes this year

Yerevan Brandy Company will purchase 35,000 tons of grapes this year – which is a record amount in the past 15 years. Grape purchases of YBC started today in Aygavan branch of the company.

YBC CEO Ara Grigorian told reporters that they plan to purchase grapes at 145 AMD a kilogram in Aygavan and Arvamir branches of YBC and at 135 AMD in Tavush province. This year the purchase price of grapes is higher by 5 drams as compared with the price paid by YBC last year. Wine growers will receive their money within 2-3 banking days. For this purpose, some 360 thousand wine growers opened their accounts at various banks.
