Pashinian proposes holding discussions on Customs Union issue

Armenia has entered a path that will lead to the loss of its sovereignty and independence, Deputy of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Nikol Pashinian said that at the opening of the 4th session of the National Assembly of fifth convocation today, when speaking about the decision about Armenia’s joining the Customs Union.

In his words, in addition to being isolated from the developments, the Armenian parliament did not have any information at an expert level.

The deputy proposed holding parliamentary discussions in order to ‘get explanations from Foreign Minister E. Nalbandian and President S. Sargsyan’.

In response, the parliamentary speaker Hovik Abrahamian stated that Armenia’s decision about entry into the Customs Union stems from the interests of the people and the country. “This is my point of view. I am convinced that it is a correct step,” Hovik Abrahamian noted.
