NKR president attends consecration of Diocesan Cathedral in Moscow

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian together with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was present at the consecration of the newly-built Diocesan Cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Moscow, the press service of the NKR president reported.

B. Sahakian considered the establishment of such a spiritual center in the Russian capital as important for spiritual upbringing, preservation of the national identity, and organization of tuition in the mother tongue, which he said symbolizes the unity of our people and their strong ties with the historic homeland.

Among those present at the consecration were Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus’ Kirill, high-ranking officials of Armenia, Artsakh and Russia, leading clerics of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and many representatives of the Armenian community in Russia.
