NKR president meets California State Assembly speaker

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian met Speaker of the California State Assembly John Perez and persons accompanying him. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the NKR in Yerevan.

Issues pertaining to the extension and deepening of ties between Artsakh and California were discussed at the meeting, the press service of NKR president reported.

Both sides underlined the positive dynamics of developing relations between the NKR and California, which creates a secure basis for raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.

Among those present at the meeting were NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Consul General in Los Angeles Sergei Sarkisov, Permanent Representative of the NKR to the U.S. Robert Avetisian, Special Assistant to Los Angeles County Sheriff Tevan Arustamian, former Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisian, other officials.
