President attends festivities to mark 55th anniversary of Kajaran

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan traveled today to the city of Kajaran in Syunik province, according to the presidential press service. He visited the memorial complex dedicated to soldiers who lost their lives during the Karabakh war. The president laid flowers and paid tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers.

Then Serzh Sargsyan participated in the festivities held in the central square of Kajaran. The president presented state awards and letters of thanks to a number of city residents noted for their patriotic activities. In particular, by presidential decrees, the head of a unit of Kajaran Medical Center policlinic Hrachia Tadevosian was awarded with Mkhitar Heratsi Medal, while CEO of Rivs scientific production association Mikhail Arustamian– with Anania Shikakatsi Medal.

The president congratulated Kajaran residents and thanked them for their devotion to the city and their daily efforts aimed at the city’s development. He wished them success and assured them that like all the other settlements of Armenia, Kajaran will become more prosperous and conveniently planned year by year. Serzh Sargsyan urged the celebration participants to be optimistic about the future of our country and its citizens.
