D. Babayan: Conflict should be resolved only by peaceful means

“The main message of the joint statement of the Co-Chairs is maintenance of regional stability and a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict,” spokesman for the NKR president David Babayan said during a talk with Aysor.am, when commenting on the joint statement that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs issued on September 27 based on the outcome of the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers in New York.

“The conflict should be resolved only by peaceful means, and the heads of the Co-Chair states have also constantly said that,” David Babayan noted.

In his words, all the statements of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs contain calls fro nonuse of force.

“Currently, the main task of the OSCE Minks Group Co-Chairs is to prevent undesirable and destabilizing developments in the region. In the context of dialog between Iran and the United States, regional stability is becoming more important to the international community,” Babayan said.
