S. Sargsyan attends opening ceremony of KamAZ-Armenia

KamAZ-Armenia trade and service center opened in Yerevan today. The opening ceremony was attended by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian, and Director General of KamAZ OJSC Sergei Kogogin.

In his speech, S. Kogogin thanked the Armenian president. In his words, KamAZ Company is glad to present its quality products in the Armenian market.

“Armenia is developing. We can see that. We will continue to assist with its development,” Kogogin stated.

The authorized capital stock of KamAZ-Armenia CJSC is $2 million.

Director General of KamAZ-Armenia Sergei Galstian told reporters that the company was founded based on the Armenian-Russian agreement on military and technical cooperation. It has two major goals: maintenance of military equipment of Armenia’s Defense Ministry and presentation of new models of KamAZ popular trucks in the Armenian market.
