Aram Harutyunian: Authorities won’t last until next elections

‘The developments related to the Armenian parliament’s vote on candidacy of the new Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanian, in particular, the episode of the opposition’s vote, were organized by the authorities,” the leader of National Accord Party Aram Harutyunian said at a meeting with journalists today.

“The authorities wanted to show what kind of opposition exists in Armenia, what the opposition says and how it votes,” Harutyunian noted.

In his words, the situation in the country is so bad that the Armenian authorities “will not last until the next elections”.

‘The current situation will not continue long even if the parties close their offices and go home. There will be a moment when violent crowds will pack the streets and nothing will be of importance,” the oppositionist stated.

Commenting on the recent speech of the Armenian president in the PACE, Aram Harutyunian said that he should have reminded once again the world about the glorification of murderer Ramil Safarov.
