New sports ground opens in Old Armenavan of Stepanakert

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakian attended today the opening ceremony of a sports ground in Old Armenavan neighborhood of the city of Stepanakert, according to the press service of the NKR president.

The president underlined the importance of such facilities in the capital city, noting that they contribute to the development of sports and physical culture and healthy life propaganda.

Bako Sahakian expressed his gratitude to member of the French National Assembly Francois Rochebloine and other benefactors for their sponsorship of the project and assistance to Artsakh, which he said was a graphic manifestation of friendship.

Among the participants of the event were Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosian, Speaker of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulian, Prime Minister Ara Harutyunian, high-ranking officials, and foreign guests.
